Already a member of the Association des orthodontistes du Québec, she joined the Board as an administrator in 2016.
With very close ties to her local dental community, Dr. Lapointe is a member of the Ordre des dentistes du Québec and the Société dentaire de Montréal, as well as other associations pertinent to her profession, including the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the Fédération des dentistes spécialistes du Québec, and the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
BACKGROUND AND INTERESTS
A native of the Québec City region, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Université Laval in 1992. First out of a desire to explore, and then because of her passion for this island region, she chose the Îles de la Madeleine to establish her practice and open her own clinic, which she made into a stimulating, human, and creative environment. After 10 years of general dentistry, she spent a full year abroad, and volunteered for several months in Uganda. She subsequently specialized in orthodontics at the University of Manitoba, where she completed her Master’s degree in 2006 before becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
In her free time, she continues to explore the planet with her spouse, Marc. Her interest in cycling, paddle boarding, running and hiking allow her to grow in both body and spirit.
