Based on clinical and radiological observations, Dr. Lapointe will assess the right time to treat your child. One or more treatment options will be explained by our treatment coordinator. We will answer your questions. If your child has an oral dysfunction (pushing or thrusting of the tongue against the teeth, mouth breathing instead of nasal breathing, etc.) or poor habits such as prolonged thumb sucking, we will offer advice and recommendations to find a solution.
FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS
In cases where there is no immediate treatment, your child will return for a follow-up appointment to check on his or her development, growth, and the stage of development of the teeth (in six, 12, or 18 months, depending on the situation). Note that there is no additional cost for these follow-up appointments (more than one follow-up is sometimes required) since the fees are included in the initial consultation.
