CONSULTATION - ADULTS

YOUR FIRST VISIT: How Does It Work?

DURING THE APPOINTMENT
Two types of x-rays (panoramic and cephalometric) are required for an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Sonia Lapointe will do a complete orthodontic examination. Based on clinical and radiological observations and your specific needs, Dr. Lapointe will suggest the best treatment and alternatives. Any concerns will be discussed and we will answer your questions.

COST FOR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
Costs vary based on the diagnosis, the complexity of the malocclusion, the type of treatment and the treatment period. We will provide you with a written estimate and explain the various payment methods offered, as well as a breakdown of the costs.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
At MOSLP, we offer several payment and financing options when you start orthodontic treatment. Discounts are also available to families with multiple children in treatment, or to clients who prefer to make a global payment. All information is given to you by our treatment coordinator during your visit.

CONSULTATION - CHILDREN

YOUR FIRST VISIT: How Does It Work?

DURING THE APPOINTMENT
Two types of x-rays (panoramic and cephalometric) are required for an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Sonia Lapointe will do a complete orthodontic examination. Based on clinical and radiological observations, Dr. Lapointe will assess the right time to treat your child. One or more treatment options will be explained by our treatment coordinator. We will answer your questions. If your child has an oral dysfunction (pushing or thrusting of the tongue against the teeth, mouth breathing instead of nasal breathing, etc.) or poor habits such as prolonged thumb sucking, we will offer advice and recommendations to find a solution.

FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS
In cases where there is no immediate treatment, your child will return for a follow-up appointment to check on his or her development, growth, and the stage of development of the teeth (in six, 12, or 18 months, depending on the situation). Note that there is no additional cost for these follow-up appointments (more than one follow-up is sometimes required) since the fees are included in the initial consultation.

COST FOR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT
Fees apply only when treatment has been accepted and begun. Costs vary based on the diagnosis, the type of treatment and the treatment period. We will provide you with a written estimate and explain the various payment methods offered, as well as a breakdown of the costs.
